This cultivar is under test agreement. Must get release from Japanese before any budwood leaves University control. Information on this is in E.M. Nauer "Foreign Imports" file. Import put directly into thermotherapy; no pre-index--EMN 1986. From Citrograph 72(2): 29-30, 32, Dec. 1986: Acreage of Kiyomi is increasing in Japan. Kiyomi originated from a Miyagawa-wase (Satsuma mandarin) X Trovita orange cross at the Okitsu Branch, Fruit Research Station. It is a most promising tangor. Fruit are medium-large (150-200 g), flat, seedless, juicy, and orange scented. 'Miyagawa' satsuma x 'Trovita' orange.
