Notes and observations
Received one fruit from Dr. Norman- it could possibly be Kulu lemon. Lengthy description of this one fruit is on the old accession card.
11/13/1987, EMN: This accession and CRC 3045 are very different from each other. Foliage of this accession is fairly typically citron. Fruit large to very large, generally elongate but variable, rind yellow, medium smooth, interior is typical citron: very thick rind, seedy, sour. Many fruits have persistant style.
11/20/1987, EMN: Dr. Bitters says Kulu is not a varietal name; it is the name of the place or area from which this accession came. Kulu is citron-like and is reported to be highly cold-resistant, withstanding temperatures down to 18'F.
