From a multiple seedling; see CRC 2798.
EMN, 3/23/1987: Cut 10 fruits each of 2 trees and found not a trace of blood coloration at all. Lost in going through the seed?. Sanguine Grosse Ronde is not listed in TCI, Vol. I, but on page 472 "Grosse Sanguine" is given as a synonym for Doblefina Amelioree. Maybe this is the seed source parent of this accession.
EMN, 2/4/1988: Appears to be a common mid-season seedy sweet orange. See blood orange color comparison chart on back of CRC 3152 accession card.
Availability
Not commercially available in California.
