Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck
Received as a live tree from a seedling grown from Navelencia seed.
Apparently derived from an open-pollinated Navelencia orange.
Rootstocks of accession
Carrizo citrange, C-35 citrange
Season of ripeness at Riverside
December to January, but not edible.
Notes and observations
EMN: This is a dry navel; inedible; virtually no juice at all. Dr. Bitters says that a number of seedlings grown from Navelencia seed all produced dry fruit like this.
Not commercially available in California.
