Notes and observations

From double seedlings. Notes from T. Tanaka in CITROLOGIA, pg. 58, Univ. of Osaka, Japan: Fruit depressed globose, sl obovoid, orange colored, almost no acid, not juicy. Notes from W.P. Bitters' 1963 trip to Japan: Tree is vigorous, cold resistant & hardy as Satsuma, average weight 120 gms, leaves large, rind 3-5 mm, petioles slightly winged, approx 15-20 seeds, polyembryonic.

EMN, 3/1987: Large fruit with very thick rind, flavor only fair, lots of rag.
