Notes and observations
Notes from T. Tanaka in CITROLOGIA, pg. 34, Univ. Osaka, Japan, 1961: Indigenous plants have extremely spiny erect trunk having very spiny branches, lg lvs, fr sm may reach 6 cm in dia & 4 cm tall, depressed globose, always irreg and roughened, similarly depressed & concave at both ends. Rind thick, many seeds, pulp acid. Should be tried as rootstock when C. junos suffers. 3/87- Small fruit, shriveled on tree.--EMN 11/23/88- Tanaka description above is good. Unattractive, small, yellow-orange fruit--very sour.--EMN
