Received as seed from H. Chapot, Rabat, Morocco, 1959. Open-pollinated seedling.

According to H. Chapot, this accession was introduced from Iran in France.

Notes and observations

12/22/1987, EMN: Hybrid citron with rough, cylindrical fruits. Of 39 seeds: 20 single seedlings, 16 doubles, 3 triples. Large, very rough fruits. Light lemon yellow but side of fruit facing south remains green while rest of fruit colors. Very thick rind, seedy, flesh light yellow, sour.

12/5/2006, DK & TS: Roundish oval shape. Rind very thick, really soft, and bitter. Soft, juicy flesh, very tart, seedy. According to Ottillia 'Toots' Bier, this accession is a favorite of Indians for making preserves.
