Notes and observations

Very large fruit, like shaddock in external appearance but mainly like lemon in foliage and internal fruit character. Seeds small and of type like rough lemon. Exocortis removed by shoot tip grafting 1985.

This tree produces very large fruit- like shaddock in external apppearance but mainly like lemon in foliage and internal fruit character. Seeds small and of type like rough lemon.--HJW. This accession had exocortis, removed by shoot tip grafting (STG 101-3)--EMN 1985.

"While the Cuban shaddock somewhat resembles the pummelo in appearance, most of the characters are those of the citron or lemon."

EMN: Cuban shaddock and Yuma Ponderosa "lemon" (CRC 3488) are very similar and may be identical. These are listed as "pummelo hybrids" for convenience-parentage not known.
