Notes and observations

According to ML Roose, "Source tree is a seedling similar in appearance to 'Yuma' citrange (which is actually a citrumelo). The source tree looks more like a citrumelo. A separate note (10/10/98) says that 'Yellow Tip' Citrumelo is from McMillan's own CES 'Troyer' seed tree and should be a natural cross of 'Troyer' and CES 'Redblush' grapefruit. The seedlings survived in an old seedbed which most material died out. This earlier note accompanied budwood which did not survive. The trees available are seedlings grown on their own roots." ML Roose received 2 separate lots of seeds (I-91-1 = RSD 1991003 and I-91-2 = RSD 1991004) but did not know why the seeds were received in 2 separate bags. This should be evaluated with SSR markers and decisions made. Planted in field for maintenance and observation, 05/1996. (RRK, 2006-06)
