Received as budwood from E.R. Koethen grove, Brockton Ave., Riverside, 1917.


Parentage/origins

Seedling tree selected by Dr. Frost (1A-4-24) as especially vigorous from the orchard of Mr. Koethen. Orchard was 35 years old.  

Rootstocks of accession: Carrizo citrange, C-35 citrange 

Season of ripeness at Riverside: January to March


Notes and observations

These fruits are rather seedy and possibly of interest from rootstock standpoint. Averaged 13-19 seeds. 2/08/1988, EMN: A typical mid-season, seedy sweet orange.


Availability

Not commercially available in California.
