Moli Kurikuri pummelo hybrid

Source: Received as budwood from Rubidoux Tract variety block- buds from tree 1188, 1914.

 

Parentage/origins: Parents unknown. C. macroptera x C. maxima (unknown cultivar)

 

Rootstocks of accession: Carrizo citrange, C-35 citrange

 

Season of ripeness at Riverside: October to November

 

Notes and observations:

Exocortis mostly removed by shoot tip grafting; still has very mild strain. Medium-small for a pummelo; broad pyriform shape with distinct neck, broad nipple and small persistent style; medium-yellow, medium-thick, smooth rind; flesh pale yellow, sour now, moderately seedy. May be pummelo hybrid.


Availability: Not commercially available in California.
