Gul-gul lemon hybrid

Source: Received as seed from Himachal Pradesh India , 1996. The CVC received budwood material in 2011.

 

Parentage/origins:  Seed extracted from fruit purchased at roadside market stand in Soghi. 
 

Rootstocks of accession: Citrus macrophylla, Yuma Ponderosa lemon

 

Season of ripeness at Riverside: Unknown at this time.

 

Notes and observations:

Fruit was identified as 'Gul-gul' by driver. Identity questioned by WP Bitters based upon description of fruit color (yellow) by R Krueger, but yellow color is consistent with description in The Citrus Industry, Vol 1, pp 569-570, and with comments from Prof AS Bindra, Punjab Agricultural University, 08/2002.
