Notes and observations

'Olinda' is one of the most popular selections of 'Valencia' used in California. It is indistinguishable from 'Frost valencia' and is probably of nucellar origin. CCPP records indicate that there is some question as to whether or not this is the same as 'Olinda' CRC 2750/PI 539656, which was derived from the original (apparently nucellar) seedling tree at the Ollie Smith Ranch in Olinda, California. (RRK, 08/2006)
