Received as budwood from the CCPP in 2008. Ed Nauer collected the budwood for this particular selection in 1980 that was then delivered to CCPP when Christiansen Ranch was removed.


Parentage/origin

A bud selection of Valencia made by John Pehrson between 1950-1960.

Notes and observations

This is one of a group of 8 valencia clones selected by University of California Cooperative Extension Specialist Emeritus John Pehrson in the 1950's or 1960's. These were included in the Valencia Strain Trial established a the UC Lindcove Field Station. This accession and Pehrson #4 were selected as being the most promising.
