Parentage/origins

'Orbon' resulted from "pollination of the 'Lisbon' lemon by a variety of blood orange" by HB Frost at the CES, Riverside, in the early decades of the 20th century (Frost, 1948, p 899).

Carrizo citrange, Citrus macrophylla

Budwood collected from UCR Breeding Block. CRC 6A-08-07. Field tree planted 1968-1969; more information on bud source not known.
