Source: Received as seed from Glenn Dale, Maryland, 1954.

 

Parentage/origins: It is a hybrid of Duncan grapefruit and Dancy mandarin.

 

Rootstocks of accession: Carrizo citrange, C-35 citrange

 

Season of ripeness at Riverside: October to November

 

Notes and observations:

EMN, 4/1987: Sunshine in a large fruit with yellow to medium orange rind color, not an attractive fruit, does not peel & section readily, orange flesh, tart flavor.

 

Availability: Not commercially available in California.
